Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit - Refined Circuit. Revived Legacy
The phased refurbishment at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, which commenced in May 2015 is in its final stag-es. Phase one of the project which included a comprehensive redesign and upgrade of the now 4.522km race circuit, is complete.

Final detail work on all aspects of the circuit project is under-way and the aim is to achieve completion of this project phase prior to the Festive Season break.

The refurbishment and upgrade of the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit has entered its sixth month.
The focus is now on the completion of the various circuit safety upgrades including the installation of barriers, debris fencing, gravel traps and the placement of over 40 000 tyres around the circuit.

The refurbishment and upgrade of the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit has entered its fifth month.
The underpass is nearing completion and the service road and parking areas are receiving new asphalt layers.

It has been three months since the commencement of the extensive upgrades to the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit.
The new circuit layout at Crowthorne, Jukskei, Barbeque and The Croc-odiles is now clearly visible and there is no doubt that these changes, along with the new main straight, will offer a spectacular and exciting challenge to race drivers.

Two months have now passed since the commencement of the refurbishment and upgrades at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit.
Much of the focus has been in areas off the actual circuit. The new double lane underpass is being prepared for the placement of the beams, service roads are being prepared for their new tar surface and the demolition of the bomas is well under way.

The refurbishment program of the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit announced on the 11th May has entered its seventh week.
As part of the circuit safety upgrades (not only in the newly con-structed areas) it has been agreed to replace, rather then refur-bish - debris fencing, safety barriers and gravel arrestor beds on the entire circuit.

The refurbishment program of the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit announced on the 11th May has entered its fifth week.
The wing walls of the underpass are at the correct height. Earthworks continue on both sides of these walls to obtain the correct levels as the new extended main straight will run over the top of the underpass.

Work on the upgrade programme of the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit continues at a furious pace.
Work continues on the new underpass with earthworks at the new Crowthorne and Crocodiles sections of the circuit progressing rapidly. The old tar surface is now completely stripped from the circuit as preparation continues for the full resurfacing of the

The end of three weeks of construction at the Kyalami Grand Prix Cir-cuit is fast approaching.
Work continues on the new underpass as the foundation is prepared and concrete blocks are placed in position. Earthworks continue at the new Crowthorne corner and The Crocodiles as the new circuit layout slowly becomes visible.

The first full week of construction on the Kyalami project has ended.
The focus of work on the Kyalami project has centered around the underpass, the new complex of turns making up Crowthorne, Jukskei and Barbeque and the new circuit layout at The Crocodiles.

The past week marked an important milestone in the history of the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit.
The official handover of the Kyalami site, to tender winning company Lonerock Construction, took place on the 24th April 2015. Work im-mediately commenced on the new underpass at the main entrance to the circuit.
